| ARE YOU LIVING YOUR BEST LIFE? |

We have all heard this new phrase in all of the magazines and TV programs. It's a valuable question to ask yourself. In difficult times like these it is sometimes the best time to re-evaluate our lifestyles and recognize where positive changes are needed. A wise man once told me that sometimes when the worst thing happens it actually ends up being one of the best things. This may be difficult to recognize when you are in the middle of a job or home loss but how you are able to reframe the way you think about things will make a huge difference on your ultimate outcome. Sometimes a job loss opens the door to new unlimited opportunities and possibilities and actually frees you to open your mind to other occupations you may enjoy. None of us enjoy when our business is slow, however, why not use the time to start that exercise program you've been putting off. This may be a good time to get involved with your community. Spend that extra time doing fun projects with your kids and spouse. This may be a good time to reconnect with old friends or family members. When this economic downturn rights itself you will have more energy because you are on an established exercise program. Your new community involvement may provide new business contacts. Focus on your goals and visions of how you would like your life to be and move forward with that. Just by taking small steps you will feel more empowered and less frustrated. This is also a great time to take stock of all of the things in your life to be grateful for. Just making a list will probably put a smile back on your fact. Don't become isolated, rather use this as an opportunity to reach out to others. |
